Solar Electric Car hit 1000km in 1 Charge

December 20, 2022

An Australian-made electric vehicle (EV) has achieved a record-breaking distance on a single charge, driving more than 1,000 km on a single charge. The EV, called the “Sunswift eVe,” was developed by a team of students at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is powered by solar panels on its roof.

The Sunswift eVe is the first EV in the world to exceed 1,000 km on a single charge, according to the team at UNSW. The record-breaking drive took place over two days and was overseen by the Australian Automobile Association (AAA).

The Sunswift eVe is a lightweight vehicle with a top speed of 130 km/h. It’s powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and has a range of more than 1,000 km on a single charge, thanks to its efficient design and the solar panels on its roof.

The Sunswift eVe is an important step forward for solar-powered EVs, as it demonstrates that it is possible to achieve long distances on a single charge using renewable energy. The team at UNSW is now working on making the Sunswift eVe a commercial product, with the goal of making it widely available to consumers.

The success of the Sunswift eVe is a testament to the potential of renewable energy and the role it can play in the transportation sector. As the demand for EVs continues to grow, innovations like the Sunswift eVe could help make electric transportation more accessible and sustainable.Regenerate response
